Medical Services for Patients  
 

There is an infirmary room and continuous professional nursing services.

The odontology, hearing, vision, and more checkups are offered during continuous periods of time.

Besides, a geriatrician visits the center once a week and a physiotherapist visits us every day.

Diurnal Elderly Caring Center
  Here, elderly people can participate and receive a series of benefits related to mental and physical health through the different services, with excellent feeding and recreation, in different areas offered by our building.
   
Volunteering Service
  There is a numerous volunteering group composed by people from the near community; professionals and students who offer a very important contribution to all elderly people who attend to the Diurnal Center program through physical, recreational and trade activities or through communal works among others. This service is extremely important since its vocational service contributes voluntary to the elderly life's quality improvement.
   
Self-helping Group
  As one more service from our organization and with the purpose of improving and contributing to the life's quality maintenance, a communal work group to help relatives and dementia patients caretakers was created. We count with professionals in the dementia subject, volunteer ladies and Diurnal Center workers.
   
Workshops
  Every third wednesday of the month, we develop training and orientation workshops addressed to dementia patients relatives and caretakers. See 2007 Program (Spanish).
   
Psychological Attention
  We offer psychology attention service for all the beneficiaries of the Diurnal Center, in charge of the Licda. Maria Enar Chavarría Zúñiga, Psychoanalyst. The attention schedule are Monday and Wednesday of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 m.d. In the afternoon we develop group workshops directed to the Diurnal Center Senior people, and once a month to the workers like part of the Labor Health program.
